The backbone of the shoe has for many years been the Steel shank or Wood shank.
Shank is used to help the shoe retain its shape and support for the foot, particularly in ladies high heel fashion shoes, but also in men's fashion and more traditional shoes. Available in steel or wood and a range of thicknesses, widths and downcurves to suit all applications and heel heights.
We do carry a wide range of different shapes and sizes in stock for insole production and may be able to provide what you need off the shelf.
We also provide made to order shoe shanks for customers' particular last shapes.
